AT&T U-verse service continues to expand into new areas, and the Charleston area in South Carolina is the latest community to receive the necessary upgrade for service.
The upgrades will allow residents to order a triple play bundle of services from the phone company rather than with Time Warner, the dominant cable TV franchise in the Charleston area. U-verse offers TV, high speed internet, and home phone service all though the same line. While you can order all three services, you do not have to subscribe to all of them from AT&T.
The counties covered in the AT&T footprint include Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston. Cities where service may now be available include Kiawah, Hanahan, Goose Creek, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, North Charleston, and of course Charleston. While Uverse may be available immediately in many areas, others will have to wait as the network is built out through the community. The best course of action if you are interested in comparing your cable TV company against Uverse is to visit the AT&T site to see if service is available at your address.
New customers in the Charleston, South Carolina area can also take advantage of the current deals on U-verse packages. Free installation, a $300 AT&T gift card, and discounts on monthly service are all available for first time U-verse customers.
